Movement as medicine for the mind: physical exercise and mental health
Brescia, October 17, 2025
On October 17, 2025, at the Teatro Sociale in Brescia, a public event was held to promote the role of physical exercise in psychological well-being. Professors, researchers, and professionals in the field presented short talks on ongoing activities, alongside testimonials from athletes who overcame difficult periods through sport.
The event ended with an artistic and emotional performance dedicated to mental health, offering an engaging and inclusive perspective on topics that are still too often stigmatized.

Kick-off meeting of the NutriBrain projects
Oslo, October 6-7, 2025
The NutriBrain project kick-off meeting was held in Oslo on October 6–7, 2025, featuring the presentation of 15 research projects funded under the NutriBrain 2024 call. During these two days, we had the opportunity to present the POWER project and engage with other researchers, an essential step toward building future collaborations.

FluoRun
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, we took part in the FluoRun, a non-competitive 5 km run/walk that enlivened the streets of the historic center of Brescia, promoting psycho-physical well-being in a festive and participatory atmosphere.
The IRCCS Fatebenefratelli was present with a stand, where gadgets and informational materials about the project and mental health were distributed, with particular focus on the positive effects of non-pharmacological interventions - such as physical activity - on mood and cognitive functions.
The initiative also provided an opportunity for direct dialogue with researchers: many people took the chance to ask questions, share experiences, and explore topics of interest, confirming the importance of open and accessible moments of engagement.
