Lucile Capuron

WP2 Leader – Research Director

Lucile Capuron, PhD, is a tenure 1st class Research Director at the French National Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment, Director of the laboratory of Nutrition and Integrative Neurobiology (NutriNeuro INRAE 1286–Univ Bordeaux), and head of the team Nutrition and Neuropsychiatric Symptom Dimensions, NutriPsy. She received her PhD, specialty health psychology/psychoneuroimmunology, in 1999 from the University of Bordeaux, France. Her main research activity focuses on understanding the relationships between inflammation and neuropsychiatric symptoms in clinical/human settings and their modulation by nutritional and metabolic factors. She has an internationally recognized experience in the investigation of the central/mood effects of inflammatory factors in medically ill patients and the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying these effects. She serves as Associate Editor for international journals in neuroimmunology and neuropharmacology and is a member of an editorial board in the field. Her work has been recognized with major research and innovation awards, as well as a national honour.
