Simon Braak

Postdoctoral researcher

Simon Braak, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam UMC, Department of Psychiatry. During his PhD, he investigated the neurobiology of social dysfunction across major neuropsychiatric disorders. His current research examines how the microbiome, immuno-metabolic dysregulation, and alterations in brain circuits relate to cognitive dysfunction in major depressive disorder, aiming to identify novel targets for prevention and treatment.
