Yvonne Nolan

Yvonne Nolan, PhD, is Professor in Neuroscience and an Investigator at APC Microbiome Ireland, University College Cork (UCC). She leads a research team investigating the impact and mechanism of lifestyle influences such as exercise, stress and diet on gut health, brain plasticity (neurogenesis) and memory, especially during transitioning times of the lifespan such as adolescence, middle and older age, and in Alzheimer’s disease. She is a cell, animal model and translational neuroscientist.
